About 'The Mentor Hive' and Ixion Holdings Ltd.
The Mentor Hive is a service dedicated to providing support, guidance and help across a wide range of subject areas, including Skills, Learning, Employment, Enterprise and Well Being, for Mentees that are clients of our network that are looking for employment or to start a new business or to grow their existing business.
The Mentor Hive is a product of the Ixion Holdings Ltd, a Not-for-Profit organisation primarily providing Government funded provision since 1995. Ixion Holdings Ltd is owned and part of the £140m Anglia Ruskin University with campuses in Cambridge & Chelmsford.
Ixion is the JV owner of Business Link in the East of England on behalf of the Regional Development Agency and it also operates UKTI trade & Investment contracts in the East of England. Ixion plays an integral part in the delivery of the DWP Single Work Programme which aims to get unemployed people into work and is operating sub-contractor contracts in London East, London West and in the Thames Valley in SE England.
Ixion is also on the DWP framework as part of the consortium called Paragon Concord Intl Ltd which is on the framework in SW England and West Midlands.
Ixion also has clients being supported on Adult training and Apprenticeships, as part of its Skills Funding Agency contracts and also helping Reducing Re-Offending as part of the Ministry of Justice contracts etc.
Ixion was recently awarded the contract to provide Mentor support to Jobseekers Allowance (JSA) customers who have been claiming for 26-weeks or more to help develop their business plan and provide support as part of The New Enterprise Allowance (NEA) in Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and South London. Dedicated Mentors are being offered through the early months of trading and Mentors who select to offer face to face mentoring will be contacted to determine whether they can provide Mentor support to this group of clients.
